“Stuff We Don’t Talk About” is a series of 12 pieces of art that each tell the story of something I wouldn’t normally discuss in public. Nothing like a healthy dose of vulnerability, right? You might see a song arrangement, an audio narrative, a painting, an essay, a monologue, or more.
This series is a personal project I’ve created to force myself to start generously sharing some of the things that have so far only lived in my head. My goal is to give voice to certain struggles that many of us are dealing with but still carry a bit of a stigma.
I believe there is power in sharing what’s true, in connecting with others who align with us, and in better understanding and empathizing with those who don’t. This series is a way in to the brutally honest conversations we want and need to have.
